Skip's Star Trek Reference

Hi there, welcome to my Star Trek site. I call it a Star Trek site but I'm mainly focussing on two Trek ships here. The Romulan Valdore, and the Reman Warbird Scimitar, both from the Star Trek Nemesis movie. 

This is my attempt to collect and display as many images of these two ships as I posibly can. 'Why?' You may ask, the answer is simple really. There simply isn't enough reference images of these ships on the net at the moment.

I'm a model builder, mainly Star Trek and other Sci-fi. I've been thinking about building both of these ships for myself from scratch for quite a while now but keep getting put off due to the lack of reference images out there. So I thought I'd compile an online album of images of these great movie ships for you. Whether you're a fellow model builder or just fans of these ship designs, it doesn't matter.

Everywhere! I've been searching long and hard for the collection I've currently gathered. Both galleries contain official images made up of publicity shots, concept art, DVD captures. Not just that though, being a modeler, I've been nagging fellow model builders for photos of their models. So I've gathered a fairly large collection of model photos. Ranging from scratchbuilt models of different scales, resin models such as Ravenstars 1/1400 Valdore kit, and even a few computer renders of some 3D meshes for modding PC games.

The reason for all these sources, is because there is only one official image of each ship as far as I know. Also, the details aren't always that clear from the DVD captures. So really no model that has been attempted/built is 100% accurate. So, that why I've gathered these different pictures. It allows the individual to compare differences between models and DVD pactures and make their own choice for how their model should look. You'd be surprised how different peoples interpretations of these ships can be.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion I know, but I loved the look of these ships the first moment I saw them. The Valdore, sleek yet menacing, and definitely a Romulan ship. NOT KLINGON! The Scimitar, well Picard said it best, 'She's a Predator.'

Absolutely! The more images I can get the better. I've even attempted to make contact with John Eaves, the man who designed these ships. So, If you have a private stash of rare photos of these ships then get in touch! I'd be happy to host them here. Same goes if you're a fellow model builder and you have a model you'd like to show here whether it be scratchbuilt, a papermodel, or plastic/resin kit, don't hesitate to send them along to me. NOTE: Right now I'm only concentrating on the Valdore and Scimitar.
